Layer Styles Project

Here is another project that me and my fellow classmates did in our digital design class. In this project we would take one of our initials and then copy them several times in several different squares. After we copied them we would then make different layers for the letters. I had alot of fun with this project with all of the different layer options that we had to choose from. My inspiration for this project was to make something that I have never seen or that I have created. One problem that I had with this project though was finding all of the options and really getting creative with it. But all in all I think it turned out ok.

Parody Sign

In this project me and my Digital Design class had to alter a sign. We did this by taking a regular street sign and making it something totally different. I changed a "warning high voltage" sign, and altered it for it to look like Zeus striking down a man. We had to change the sign totally from scrap which means we couldnt just go and copy and paste stuff. In this project I had to trace over the man and the electricty symbol from the original sign and then i made both of them smaller so I could fit the Zeus part of the sign. I got Zeus from the internet but I couldnt just paste it on there I had to trace over it and then paint it black. One problem I had with the sign is the tracing part but when I zoomed in a bunch it wasnt to hard. I was actually pretty happy with this project.

Jacob's Self Portrait

This is a self portrait that I made for my Digital Design class. Me and my class had to make a self portrait of ourselfs using only photoshop and all of the letters, numbers, and symbols on the keyboard. A big problem that I had with this project was my hair. First i had just made over 300 different copies of i's and that took quite a while, but then I just ended up putting a bunch of black there and then put a few white i's to show my hair splitting in different places. I think my project went ok, I wasnt totally on board on how to do a few things (like the hair) but other than that I think it went ok.
